Episode 2 – soupmobile

April 4th, 2010

David Timothy is the founder of the soupmobile. The soupmobile is a mobile soup kitchen that was established in 2003 and now serves more than 200000 meals per year to the homeless in the Dallas area. However we believe that when Jesus said “Feed MY Sheep,” He meant more than just food. We also believe He meant love, caring, compassion, clothing and yes — SHELTER. In 2009 the soupmobile expanded its feeding operation to now include sheltering the homeless through a new venture called soupmobile Village. The Village consists of group homes located in the Dallas area. Each home is designed to take a homeless person right off the streets, clean them up, put a roof over their heads, get them a job and eventually transition them back into regular working members of society. On October 7, 2009 we opened up our first group MEN’S Home in soupmobile Village. On April 1, 2010 we opened up our first group WOMEN’S Home in the Village. The soupman asks you to give prayerful consideration to making a donation to support soupmobile Village. The Village is giving a ‘Hand Up’ not a “Hand Out.” Also featured: Mack Choice – Employee Learn more about the soupmobile: www.soupmobile.org
