This idea is a complete plan to help fund "x" number of existing and emerging Sustainable Communities in the next "x" number of years throughout the world. The idea is to create a "Pay it Forward Fund" for communities to have access to necessary seed money; and once they create excess abundance with the funds (ie food, profit, energy, information, etc.) they pay their gift forward, thereby turning the recipient into a contributor. In other words, once the community has met and exceeded their goals, they will provide new start-up or existing communities with the necessary funds and/or materials to meet their needs, such as helping build infrastructure, teaching conflict resolution, create media promotions, etc. Alternately, a community could choose to expand their own infrastructure to accommodate more people with the excess abundance created. These models will incorporate cottage industries and other creative methods to add to the community abundance in order to foster a model of not only sustainability, but regeneration. In a similar fashion to Heifer International, Kiva and Habitat for Humanity, the Sustainable Communities Pay it Forward Fund is based on the notion that everyone deserves a chance to create a life of abundance, but it is by giving a hand up (not a hand out) that people's lives are truly changed.
